Invisalign

Can you imagine having braces that no one can see … braces that are invisible? Our Invisalign “invisible” braces can straighten your teeth with no one being the wiser.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a system of doing braces that aligns your teeth slowly and without the discomfort of normal wire braces. Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete.

Invisalign allow you to remove the Aligners to:

  • Floss and Brush with Ease
  • Have your Teeth Cleaned Comfortably

You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Ask us about Invisalign invisible braces if you have some crowding that you would like corrected. Located in Tewksbury, we are proud to serve the Greater Boston communities of Andover, Billerica, Chelmsford, and Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Can Adults Use Invisalign Treatment?

Most people think that only teenagers get braces to straighten their teeth. Our mouth and jaw changes shape as we age. Teeth can shift as your jawbone naturally loses density. Crowded teeth can cause pain or discomfort when chewing and swallowing. Overlapping teeth can be difficult to clean and may lead to more susceptible to tooth decay.

Braces can be used at any age to straighten your teeth to give you a more natural smile. They can also improve your overall oral health. Many TDA patients who get braces are 30-60 years old! Our clear aligners are custom designed for an optimal outcome. They are removable for comfortable eating and cleaning, and so discreet no one will even know you are wearing them!

Are They Right for Me?

Our mouth and jaw can change shape as we age. Teeth can shift as your jawbone naturally loses density. Crowded, shifting teeth can cause pain or discomfort when chewing and swallowing. Overlapping teeth can be difficult to clean and may lead to a higher incidence of decay.

Did you know that studies have shown people with straighter teeth are perceived as more successful than people with crooked teeth? A straight smile is associated with health and attractiveness. The confidence you will gain with your new smile can be life changing!

Invisalign FAQ

Am I candidate for Invisalign?

Everyone’s case is different and depends on their situation. If you are looking to correct your smile by straightening crooked or crowded teeth, then Invisalign is for you. If you have a major underbite or overbite, then you may need more conventional orthodontic treatment. We are always happy to discuss your treatment needs and goals.

Can I get a digital preview of what my smile will look like after a clear aligner treatment?

Absolutely! It’s pretty easy to do. All we have to do is digitally scan your teeth. Within minutes we can then create a digital simulation of what your smile will look like after treatment. This simulation can give you a great visual idea of the change you can expect to see.

How much does it cost or does my insurance cover it?

Honestly, this mainly depends on the length of your treatment and on how much work you need to have done. If you only want to fix a small gap between your teeth, your treatment will be much shorter and less expensive than a patient who has a significant cross-bite or has multiple corrections to make.

With a digital scan and some background information, we can give you a range for how long your treatment will take and the expected cost.

If you have dental benefits, our team here at TDA is happy to review your policy and maximize the coverage provided for your treatment.

Do you offer any payment plans?

Absolutely, an investment in your smile is one of the best investments you can make. But maybe you don’t have all of the money you need to make that investment.  We offer a wide array of monthly payment plans to fit your budget.

How long do I wear my trays or aligners?

We recommend that you wear them except for when eating/drinking and when you are cleaning your teeth. I know, this might seem like a lot but you’ll see great results by wearing them as recommended.

Will I have to wear retainers after your treatment is finished?

Again, your teeth will want to regress to their natural state. This means that even after you finish your treatment, you will have to wear aligners while you are sleeping.
